WG1: INNOVATIVE GLYCONANOMATERIALS FOR BIOMEDICAL PROGNOSTIC AND DIAGNOSTIC DEVICES; SYNTHESIS AND APPLICATION
Objectives:
(i) Identification of the carbohydrate entities better suited for biological diagnosis and treatment purposes. Specific tasks include:
(ii) Investigation of chemically and biologically active carbohydrates and sugar moieties.
(iii) Developing new characterization techniques for glyconanomaterials structure identification. State-of-the-art technologies will include chromatography techniques, biochemical techniques, mechanical, spectroscopic and materials characterization techniques.
(iv) Developing multivalent glyconanostructures with controlled function.
